Project Description: I was commissioned to illustrate a portrait of Flora Dunlap for Iowa State University Professor Katy Swalwell’s book, AMAZING IOWA WOMEN. Flora Dunlap was a social worker & settlement house founder in Des Moines and became the president of the Iowa Equal Suffrage Association in 1913. The book was published by RAYGUN & features the stories of a diverse array of badass women changing Iowa for the better. Each story is accompanied by an illustration drawn by different female artists from Iowa.
